What to wear
Guidelines
Solid colours in clothing. Jeans and white shirts work well. Avoid bright garish colours, bold stripes, or large logos. For family portraits, please make sure everyone is wearing similar colours and styles.Shoes should be clean and free of scuffs. Bare feet are fine!
Think about where your portrait may be displayed
If your portrait is to hang in a formal dining room or hallway you probably will want it to look a little more dressy. However, fabulous effect can be achieved for your living room by dressing everyone a lot more naturally.
We encourage all members of the family to dress in complementary colours for group portraits.
Long Sleeves and pants are more flattering especially for older sitters!
If you're still not sure what to wear, bring along several changes and use them all! That way you can also swap and change if necessary during the shoot and we can give you a variety of different looks.
