We are a talented team of four photographers who take pride in our work and delight in exceeding your expectations! We would be happy to redesign any of our packages and prices to your specific requirements, all packages are flexible, please contact us for a firm quote.

Prices include photography from the bridal preparations, groom and groomsmen at the ceremony, ceremony and family shots afterwards, as many locations as time permits, and the first 10-30 minutes of the reception. In addition, all images are uploaded to your own web gallery for easy and convenient selection of album images and emailing to family & friends.

All images individually retouched, skin blemishes removed, eyes opened, soft focus, diffusion effects, etc – you’ve never looked so good! We design with you every facet of the album using the latest design software so you can see exactly how the finished album will look, and at the end of this all the originals are yours to keep.

All packages include all photography, consultation, planning and the first number of page sides in your album as specified in your contract. There are no hidden extras, and all our prices include GST. It is worth mentioning that most of our clients choose between 10 and 30 extra page sides for their own album. In addition to this, many clients also buy parents’ albums and framed pictures.

BOOKINGS

We recommend booking as soon as possible, especially important during the busy season from October until May. A non-refundable retainer of $500 is required to secure our services and this is deducted from the price of your selected package. Balance of the package price is due two weeks before the wedding day.

It is important that you meet us before a booking is made. The timings and detail of your day need to be established in order to make sure it is possible for us to take the pictures that you want whatever the weather. There is no point in you making a large investment in photography on your wedding day if the opportunities or the time do not exist for us to take great pictures. We must also ensure that we can fulfill your needs and that our style is exactly what you are after.

THE VIEWING

While you enjoy your honeymoon, Mark, the Perceptions picture editor will transform your wedding pictures into a collection of stunning images. He uses sophisticated techniques to ensure consistent quality throughout the set. Your images will be ready for viewing in your own gallery online within 6 days of the wedding. The process of choosing your album pictures will be fun and a lot easier than you may think, largely due to interactive album design software. Please allow about 4 hours for this session, after which the original boxed prints will be yours.

ALBUMS

Our albums are sourced from the best bookbinders worldwide. We design with you every facet of the album using the latest design software so you can see exactly how the finished album will look. Albums take approximately six weeks to be crafted by hand to your exact specifications, and when completed and paid for the high resolution files are provided with the album. No two albums are the same, each is unique as we have designed it together. There are many options for cover materials such as leather, metal, suede, or an acrylic photo and several types of page style to display your images.

During the construction of your album the prints are prepared for it. We use sophisticated retouching techniques, some of which we have developed here, to provide the finest print quality possible. Mark has been printing for over 25 years and print quality involving colour, contrast, saturation is of paramount importance. We want our prints to be better than any you have seen before, please come and compare for yourselves. To this end we use sophisticated colour management processes combined with high end graphics monitors to ensure that what we design with you is exactly what you will see in print.

Our goal is to create images where your grandchildren can feel the love and beauty of the wedding 50 years on. We want your images to stand as a living and historic document of how you and your family and friends celebrated this amazing day.

We photograph the wedding as silent trusted observers, assisting but not interfering with the flow of the day and where necessary offering direction to ensure all goes well.

Our strength is in telling picture stories and we customize our coverage to suit individual wedding celebrations.

You will need to study our albums and see the fantastic print quality at first hand. It’s only than that you will realize the true value of our work. Our albums are a collection of images that are eloquent and self supporting; they tell the story of a wedding in a consistently beautiful style and quality.

We want your dealings with us to be great fun, a great experience and an everlasting great memory.

HELPFUL HINTS

Choose photographers you can trust, photographers with integrity, photographers who will be there for you on your big day.

When looking at their work, ask yourself, can the photographers create moments of fun and lightness and then capture them? Great photographic moments rarely happen by themselves. They are crafted by photographers. When assessing wedding pictures look especially at the facial expressions in the group shots. These emotions are a direct indication of the ambience created by the photographer at that time.

Look at a minimum of 2 complete weddings from start to finish then ask yourself: Do you feel that you were there? Were you emotionally moved by the pictures? Was the presentation and print quality to the standard that you are happy with? Is the style of the photography you are shown exactly what you want for your album? If not, choose other photographers.

The intimate but glamorous nature of the Perceptions shooting style is not for everyone. If you or your partner are uncomfortable being photographed, consider booking a reportage photographer who works in an unobtrusive, ‘fly on the wall’ way.

Photographers will always show you their finest photographs at the enquiry stage; judge their ability on what you see. Remember, it is easy to take 3 or 4 excellent pictures at each wedding. It’s a different matter taking 200 excellent and unique images at each wedding. With over 20 years’ experience, that’s exactly what you will receive at Perceptions. In fact the only complaint we’ve ever had (and we get it all the time!) is “there’s too many good pictures to choose from!” If you would like to be in this position, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
