Answers to some Frequently Asked Questions

How many pictures do you take?

A minimum of 200. If you have one bridesmaid, one groomsman and one hour for photography between the ceremony and reception you will get at least 200 images. If you have 3 bridesmaids, 3 groomsmen and 3 hours you will probably end up with over 300 images. The more people in the Bridal party and the more time you allow, the more pictures you will receive. There is no extra cost involved in these pictures.

How long does the photography take?

As long as you give us! More time=more pictures. We would typically like about an hour and a half of clear shooting time after the family pictures and before the reception, not including travelling time. We can squeeze the photography into a shorter time (but not with a large wedding party!) but if you give us longer we'll give you more pictures!

What's the difference between the Classic and Designer packages?

2 inches! The Classic holds a maximum print size of10x10" and the Designer holds up to a 12x12" print. However, the Designer has a much greater range of page layout options, the larger pages holding more prints of varying sizes, so even though the album is more expensive you will receive more prints and bigger prints! The Classic album only holds 1,2,3 or 4 images on a pages whereas the Designer can hold up to 12!- and more creatively laid out!
The Vogue album holds even more options and comes with a brushed aluminium cover and duplex pages as standard. Call us on 1800 028 222 to make an appointment to compare packages.

What's the "normal" sequence of events?

We start with the Bride getting ready, arrive at the ceremony half an hour early to photograph the Groom and Groomsmen, the ceremony and family pictures afterwards and on to as many locations (with the bridal party only!) as there is time for before on to the reception where we photograph the room and a mock cutting of the cake. We could photograph the Groom earlier (before the bride) if you wish but we have found the above sequence works very well!

When are the pictures ready?

Within 3 weeks of the wedding the proofs will be ready. We will schedule with you an album planning session after which the proofs will be given to you. While you enjoy your honeymoon, Mark, the Perceptions picture editor will transform your wedding pictures into a collection of stunning images. He uses sophisticated techniques to ensure consistent quality throughout the set. Your images will be ready for viewing at the Perceptions studio upon your return. The process of choosing your album pictures will be fun and a lot easier than you think, largely due to interactive album design software. Please allow about 3 hours for this session.
